February 2012, new amendment to norm IEC 61181 “Mineral oil-filled electrical equipment – Application of dissolved gas analysis (DGA) to factory tests on electrical equipment”.

This norm defines the criteria with which the analysis of gases is performed during factory tests, with particular attention for the heating tests. IEC 61181 goes into details over very specific topics, for example on sampling, the extraction of gases and the chromatographic test in the laboratory.

Sea Marconi offers an independent response from suppliers of transformers and oils, offering the most appropriate protocol, the analyses required, ensuring the best analytical and interpretative performances in accordance with IEC 61181.
