Sea Marconi has conceived (patent pending) a new, easy, fast, and sustainable kit for sampling and inspecting electrical equipment with insulating fluids. This system consists of two elements: a sampling kit, an absolute innovation in the market, and a dedicated app that guides the inspection and sampling activities.

The new sampling bag
This kit has been designed to eliminate environmental contamination associated with sampling using glass bottles or aluminum containers. The bag, in fact, creates a closed system with the transformer, ensuring that the oil never comes into contact with the atmosphere.
Another requirement that guided the design of this bag is sustainability. Sea Marconi has approached this kit by considering the final stage of its life cycle: waste production. With this inspection and sampling kit, waste is reduced by 3 times compared to aluminum bottles.
Sustainability also extends to logistics and warehouse space. With a weight of 100g compared to 320g of alternative samplers (plastic bottles or aluminum bottles), Sea Marconi’s new kit reduces transportation costs. Furthermore, thanks to its vacuum-sealed flat envelope packaging, it occupies very little space during transportation and storage.

What performance/quality does this sampling kit guarantee?
Sea Marconi’s new sampling kit, being essentially a flexible metal bottle, complies with the IEC 60475 standard “Method of sampling insulating liquids” for the tests listed in the table. However, despite our internal tests showing excellent performance in terms of accuracy and repeatability on all types of analyses, Sea Marconi continues to recommend the use of a syringe for sampling fluids intended for dissolved gas analysis.
The new sampling kit is a sustainable solution aimed at replacing and surpassing, both in terms of performance and environmental impact, aluminum or glass bottles and plastic containers.

Strength Points
Mobile app for inspection and sampling
For the development of this app, Sea Marconi relied on a safe, reliable, mature market product, appropriately customized for Sea Marconi. The result is a useful, simple, and fast tool. Using the app, it is possible to conduct machine inspections and sampling in a guided manner, with a series of fields already filled out for our clients, reminding the operator what to check and how.
The app records, tracks, and certifies the sampling operator, the date, time, and location of the activity, even in the absence of data signal. It is possible to collect photos, videos, sounds, text, signatures, and generate an instant inspection and sampling report that can be shared.
The app also has a back-end, a platform that can also be used via PC, for activity planning and historical activity consultation. This area, reserved for specific users, each with their own level of visibility, will in the near future be enriched with all the diagnostic reports issued by the Sea Marconi laboratory and will become a point of access to information regarding the health status of each customer’s machines.
Strength Points

This system is the only one that meets the criteria of:
Best Available Technique (BAT)
because, when compared to alternative systems (aluminum bottles/plastic bottles), it avoids environmental contamination
Best Environmental Practice (BEP)
because it minimizes waste and reduces the space needed for storage
Best Value Chain (BVC)
because it is a sustainable solution from an economic perspective, reducing production, logistics, storage, and disposal costs.
