Sea Marconi has developed (patent-pending) a new kit (ISA – Inspection Sampling Audit) for the sampling and inspection of transformer with insulating fluids that is easy, fast, and sustainable.
This system consists of two elements:
- a sampling kit, representing an absolute innovation in the market, and
- a dedicated app that guides and certifies inspection and sampling activities.
What performance/quality does this sampling kit guarantee?
Sea Marconi’s new sampling kit, essentially a flexible metal bottle, complies with IEC 60475 “Sampling method for insulating liquids” for the tests listed in the table below. However, despite our internal tests showing excellent performance in terms of accuracy and repeatability for all types of analysis, Sea Marconi continues to recommend using a glass syringe to sample fluids for dissolved gas analysis.
The new sampling kit is a sustainable solution aimed at replacing and surpassing, both in terms of performance and environmental impact, aluminum or glass bottles and plastic containers.
Key Advantages
Mobile App for Inspection and Sampling
For the development of this app, Sea Marconi relied on a secure, reliable, and mature market product, appropriately customized for Sea Marconi. The result is a useful, simple and fast tool. Using the app, inspections and sampling can be guided, with a series of pre-filled fields (for customers) that remind the operator of what to check and how to do it.
The app records, tracks, and certifies the sampling operator, the date, time, and location of the activity, even in the absence of data signal. It is possible to collect photos, videos, sounds, text, signatures, and generate an instant inspection and sampling report that can be shared.
The app also has a back-end, a web platform that can also be used on a PC, for activity planning and historical activity consultation. This area, reserved for specific users, each with their own level of visibility, will be enriched in the future with all the diagnostic reports issued by the Sea Marconi laboratory and will become an access point to information on the health status of each customer’s machines.
Key Advantages
This system is the only one that meets the criteria of:
Best Available Technique (BAT)
because, compared to alternative systems (aluminum/plastic bottles), it avoids environmental contamination
Best Environmental Practice (BEP)
because it minimizes waste and reduces the storage space needed
Best Value Chain (BVC)
because it is an economically sustainable solution, reducing production, logistics, storage, and disposal costs.
