Case histories
Case 1: Plant design for EDF (R&D)
In 2015 and 2021, Sea Marconi designed and built two plants for EDF (R&D) to simulate the aging of cellulose insulators in transformers under controlled conditions.
These plants replicate real operating conditions, providing valuable data for evaluating the longevity and performance of materials.
Case 2: Solution for a military electronic device
A client experienced high failure rates in an oil-insulated electronic device for military use, characterized by extremely high voltages and small dimensions. Sea Marconi studied the technical documents (under NDA), conducted specific tests, and identified the causes of the issues.
Subsequently, we designed and built a benchtop system to improve the filling procedure and suggested the use of alternative oils, definitively solving the problem.
Case 3: Optimization of the braking system for a vehicle manufacturer
A vehicle manufacturer contacted Sea Marconi to resolve a significant issue in their braking system.
Leveraging our expertise in technical fluids, we identified the cause of performance losses in the oil used. Laboratory analyses revealed the presence of reaction compounds between the oil and other materials used in the braking circuit.
Sea Marconi then provided assistance with oil sampling procedures, conducted specialized laboratory analyses, and diagnosed the “pathologies” in progress, determining their cause.
