On 17 through 21 November 2008, the 72nd General Meeting of IEC took place, the most important International event assembling once a year all the delegates from the national committees in the world, to outline the state of the art and formalise future plans for normalisation (Read all)
Vander Tumiatti, in his position as Assistant Secretary of the IEC TC10, actively participated to the session together with the Italian delegation of CEI (Comitato Elettrotecnico Italiano – Italian Electrotechnical Committee).
The event was hosted by the IEC Brazilian National Committee COBEI (Brazilian Committee of Electricity, Electronics, Telecommunications and Illumination), which kindly offered to the over 1500 participants, a fascinating closing event show. The closing ceremony had as protagonists the famous Brazilian singer and guitar player of Italian origin Toquinho (pseudonym of Antonio Pecci Filho, born in São Paulo in 1946) and the breathtaking samba dancers.
