The Drapò project ended with excellent results. The project aimed at studying systems and components for energy and energy efficiency recovery in motor vehicles, or more simply put, at studying materials to be used in cars in the near future.
The project, coordinated by the Fiat Research Centre, was funded by the 2007/2013 RDEF REGIONAL OPERATIONAL PROGRAMME “Regional Competitiveness and Employment” and was attended by more than 40 partners among private companies, research centres and Universities in Piedmont.
Returning to the results of the project, Sea Marconi is very proud of this experience: during the final event, held at the Fiat Research Centre on 26 October 2015, we showed the system thanks to which, for the first time, it was possible to make high added value carbon nano-tubular structures from specific waste carbon matrixes such as used tires for example.
The “Carbon Nanotubes” manufactured by Sea Marconi are the result of about 36 months of research and development during which we have used extraordinary skills, peculiar in that they are interdisciplinary, a feature without which such a result would never have been reached.
