- It is recommended that strategic information be updated with a “dynamic inventory” of oils and transformers contaminated by corrosive sulfur compounds.
- It is recommended that maintenance practices be changed:
– purchasing new oils free from corrosive sulfur compounds and checking the oils in the acceptance phase of supplies
– asking that factory tests be carried out using oils free of corrosive sulfur and monitoring that oil and machine treatments are not a source of cross-contamination, both in this phase of the life cycle and in subsequent phases
