Brilliant second place for the DEVELTAR project serving renewable energies

Wednesday March 17th, 2010

Sea Marconi was recently (16 Feb. 2010) classified in second place among the participants to a tender promoted by the Ministry for Economic Development within the research and development projects for renewable energies.

The project is designated as “Use of pulsating crown and microwaves to improve the conversion ratio into electric power from the pyro-gasification of biomasses – DEVELTAR”. The objective is to experimentally evaluate the use of innovative and non-conventional technologies to remove the “tars” from the synthesis gases produced during the gasification of biomasses, being them well known compounds strongly limiting the use of gases produced by co-generation.

The project is the results of a brilliant work by a team composed, first of all, by Sea Marconi (project leader) Spike Renewables and Xynertech, with the support of entities and research institutes of primary importance such as the Trisaia Research Centre of ENEA, the University of Rome La Sapienza, FIRE (Italian Federation for the Rational use of Energy) and leading enterprises in niche technologies such as FID GmbH (Germany) and ATON-HT (Poland).
