On 17th and 18the December the fourth edition of the My Transfo Meeting, directed toward the sharing of know-how in the sector of transformers and other electrical equipment with insulating liquids, was held in Venaria Reale (Turin).
The 2008 edition widely exceeded the consensus already achieved by the past editions, hosting over 100 participants (read all),
representing 51 companies(please refer to the list of participating companies here below) from 15 different Countries
My Transfo confirmed being the international point of reference for the divulging of sector contents, thanks also to the sponsorship by IEEE, the most important American association in the electric and electronic sector. The novelty of dividing the interventions into four topic areas: corrosion phenomena, presence of water in the oil, thermal life, technological evolution of the oils, captured the attention of the participants during both days.
The merit must be given to the very precious contribution by the speakers, who were able to outline the scientific and technical state of the art of the sector with the highest professionalism and competence. The success of the My Transfo Meeting is also due to the formulation characterising it: not only a one way presentation of contents, but its point of force was a deep exchange of know-how among the participants who, this year as well, experienced effective exchanges of opinions.
The edition just concluded, unfortunately, was characterised by the absence of an important column of the Meeting. Viktor Sokolov, unanimously recognised as one of the major experts in the sector. In his memory, a special scientific committee composed of prof. Bartnikas (chairman of IEC TC10), prof. Pompili (Secretary of IEC TC10) and prof. Kapila of University of Rolla Missouri, established the “Viktor Sokolov Memorial Lecture – IEEE PERMANENT AWARD”. For this first edition, the Committee assigned the award to Vander Tumiatti who presented a lecture titled:
1968 – 2008: Witnessing 40 years of innovation: from oil analysis through “Integrated methods for the determination of corrosivity, ageing, fingerprinting as well as the diagnosis, decontamination, depolarisation and detoxification of oils (Acronym: OIL Vial Test-CAF & D5 – Patent applied for)”
The My Transfo conference anticipated another very highly looked forward to event by Sea Marconi: reaching on 19thDecember 2008, 40 years of activity. During these four decades, Sea Marconi made of its name a synonymous of professionalism, competence and reliability, changing from a simple supplier to a real partner for the most important actors in several industrial sectors and in the production, transmission and distribution of electric power worldwide.Sea Marconi is all this, but not only: a company fruit of the dream of a great entrepreneur, Vander Tumiatti, who, in 40 years of activity, applied for over 40 international patents covering “sustainable technologies” for the protection of company assets, the environment and public health, setting up an extraordinary group of people who share the ambition of making innovation and new technologies really sustainable.
