Sea Marconi conquers also the Spanish railways – ADIF

Tuesday March 16th, 2010

We are currently engaged with on-site services with the Spanish railways ADIF (Administrador De Infrastructuras Ferroviarias), our new customer thanks to the tender won last September. Sea Marconi was awarded the lot relative to the decontamination and depolarisation services of strategic transformers with insulating liquids in the Barcelona and Tarragona areas.

Sea Marconi, thanks to GreenPro Transfo protection program and more specifically the Chedcos service for the conservation of assets in operation, is able to return the oil in the transformers to optimised functional conditions and to provide also a deep “cleaning” for the inner parts of the transformer, in compliance with norm IEC 60422 Ed. 3 2005.

The interventions are performed with decontamination mobile units (DMU). They are positioned near the transformer and connected to it by hoses. After this phase, the real treatment begins; the oil is sucked from the bottom side of the transformer, is decontaminated (on the basis of the contaminants identified during the analysis of the oil) and pumped again into the transformer (upper side). Thus, a closed-loop circulation of the oil is obtained, insinuating into the inner parts of the transformer, favouring the elimination of the particulate present at the bottom of the tank and on the papers. At the end of each intervention, the results are certified by credited diagnostic tests (Deosvision).
