TransfoClean is the “sustainable” solution developed to support owners of transformers with insulating oils during all phases of their life cycle (LCM).

This mainly means preventing damage and protecting the environment, without neglecting budgetary constraints and regulatory requirements.

TransfoClean is based on the man-blood/oil-transformer analogy. As with clinical diagnostics, Sea Marconi monitors the health of the transformer by analyzing (and diagnosing) the oil inside.

Assessing the health status of a transformer fleet is a highly complex activity that requires specialised expertise, advanced tools (both laboratory and digital), rigorous analytical methods, established procedures, and a vast database of real-world case studies.
Sea Marconi carries out this activity on a continuous basis — it is our core business — with figures that demonstrate our extensive experience: every year, our laboratory performs over 106,000 analyses, monitoring the condition of approximately 10,000 transformers.

What makes the Sea Marconi diagnostic so special?

Full compliance with industry standards

We operate according to the state of the art and according to the prescriptions of the sector standards also thanks to our participation in several working groups. In fact, Sea Marconi participates actively in the process of improvement of the international standards (ex: IEC). Sea Marconi has been decisive, for example, for the discovery of the DSDB in 2005, for the study of the particle since 1976, of metals since 1982, and of methods for the determination of PCBs in fluids with gas chromatography technique with high-resolution capillary column (1979).

thanks to which it is possible to statistically obtain the typical values, the alert and alarm values for each criticality (functional and environmental) depending on the type of transformer and insulating liquid
