Last January, in Korea, our partner Green Field inaugurated the centre for the decontamination and re-valorisation of transformers contaminated by PCBs. The event was attended by the delegate of important Clients, institutional authorities at central and local level, who personally viewed the progress of the Country important “PCBs-free” project.
AIn the centre is currently operational a stationary decontamination system developed by Sea Marconi, using the CDP Process technology fro the dehalogenation of PCBs, coming, most of all, from oils contained by pole transformers (estimated about 3.5 million units). The Sea Marconi system is able to guarantee a residual concentration of PCBs after the treatment of 2 mg/kg , fully complying with international norms.
The Korean partnership Green Field created an effective and technologically innovative solution, to the point that additional meetings have been planned to evaluate other business opportunities.
