My Transfo 2010, a really extraordinary edition

Monday December 13th, 2010

A really extraordinary edition of the My Transfo (Turin, 23rd and 24th November) has taken place: starting from the format of the event, through the location with the prestigious intervention of the Chancellor of the Polytechnic, and the technical-scientific level of the topics being considered.

However, the point that I would like to emphasise is the number of participations. We had the honour to host 26 speakers, 108 participants (including 6 Polytechnic students) representing 67 companies coming from 4 continents and 19 Countries.

My Transfo confirms being a European and International point of reference for the technical and professional updating in the field of management of fleets of transformers with insulating fluids.

The merit is not only given to the speakers, 26 among the major experts worldwide, who synthesised with professional skill and passion their well known experience, but, most of all, to the participants themselves who with their contribution, provided the exchange of experiences and know-how, distinguishing the My Transfo Meeting since its first edition.

During the first day, Vander Tumiatti, president of My Transfo and Prof. Massimo Pompili, moderator and member of the conference scientific committee, gave the 2Nd Viktor Sokolov Memorial Lecturer Award to Michel Duval, one of the major scientists in the sector, for his incomparable contribution to the development of international standards on the diagnostics of transformers, based on the interpretation of dissolved gases.

Per For those who could not attend the Meeting, the video recordings (DVD) of the event are available as well as the proceedings, together with all the Power Point presentations shown during the occasion (info@seamarconi.it, +39 011 2343434)
