New French headquarters for Sea Marconi: technology and consideration for the environment

Sea Marconi, a company based in Collegno (Italy), international leader in research, services and technologies for the protection of company assets a and the environment, continues its expansion with the inauguration of a new facility for offices and logistic/storage area.
LSea Marconi France, after six years of activity on the French market, moved its offices from Joeuf to Homécourt, in the Lorain Region, in the North East area of France, confirming its link with the territory and a strong feeling toward local communities. The special day on 12 February has also been the opportunity to thanks all the institutional and political authorities that helped the establishment of such facility.

The spirit of Sea Marconi is to invest for the future through the environment. For this reason, the company developed and promoted an artistic project “Let’s colour the world” promoted with four kindergarten schools located in the municipalities around our offices. During the event, each school presented a drawing on the theme of energy and the environment, and Sea Marconi delivered a recognition to the creativity of the little artists.

The growth by Sea Marconi on the French market is due to the commitment and the professional skill recognised to the group by important Customers like Dalkia, RTE, Contirep, Total, Sarp Industries, but most of all, by the assignment of two very important exclusive contracts: the first with the EDF Group and the second with the French National Railways, both for the supply of services for the decontamination of equipment containing PCBs, a dangerouscontaminant of the environment. These important results are due to the technology patented by sea Marconi, designated as CDP-Process, considered by the Italian Ministry of the Environment as the Best Available Technique for the decontamination of apparatus containing PCBs. (Decree of 29 January 2007).

In the last few months, the prestigious financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore published three articles about the solutions provided by Sea Marconi for the PCBs problem, emphasising clearly how the CDP-Process is the most effective and safe solution for the decontamination from PCBs of transformers in operation or at end-of-life.
The concern for the environment together with safe and reliable technological solutions, fuelled a constant growth of the company since 1968, when it was founded. Since then, branches and companies were created in the province of Lecce (1992), in Spain (2002), in Argentina 82004) and Germany (2008) serving over 3,000 Customers in 15 Countries, becoming a real partner for the most important groups in the industrial sector and the production and distribution of electric power.

The constant vision projected toward the future, together with the cooperation with the largest and qualified European Research Institute the FZK ( (Forschugszentrum, Karlsruhe in Germany) created Haloclean BioEnergy.After Argentina, Sea Marconi is also moving into the Brazilian market. In the last few weeks, the main company in Collegno signed agreements for the introduction in Brazil of CHEDCOS, the unique really effective and conclusive solution for the Corrosive Sulfur problem in mineral insulating fluids that in the last few years caused several blackouts in Europe and Latin America.

This technology, just launched on the European market, provides the production of clean energy starting from residual biomasses.

The enormous efforts spent in this direction can now be really repaid: Haloclean BioEnergy represents a challenge for the future and a real solution for the production of energy in a friendly environmental manner.
