Sea Marconi’s technology against PCBs is travelling toward Korea

Monday August 17th, 2009

The satisfactory conclusion of the training of the Korean engineers, the timly delivery terms and the performance of the plant during the final tests, emphasize, once more, Sea Marconi’s leadership on the topic of decontamination of PCBs on a worldwide scale.

But we make a step backward.

The interest shown by the Korean company GreenField Ltd at the end of 2008, took Vander Tumiatti to Seul to deepen the problems relative to PCBs in insulating oils and, mostof all, to offer concrete solutions for the Korean market. The interest evolved into a purchase order in February 2009, and with a record performance, just a few days ago the training and the final test for the DMU BATCH 2500 2/D plant have been concluded.

Now the plant is in transit toward the port of Busan. In September, the start-up shall take place as well as a new technical training session for the local operational technicians.

The satisfaction, together with some kind of surprise, we noticed on the face of the Korean partners during the test of the plant was deeply gratifying (in just 4 hours, 2500 kg of oil, contaminated by PCBs at 297 mg/kg were decontaminated at less than 2 mg/kg).

We are sure that the “GreenPro® PCB Free” project shall ensure surprising results contributing to improve the environment, confirming Sea Marconi as a point of reference against PCBs in the Far East as well.
