It is recommended that the strategic information is updated with a “dynamic inventory” of oils and transformers contaminated with DBDS.
It is recommended that maintenance procedures are modified:
– purchase of new oil without DBDS (“not detectable”< 5mg/kg, IEC 60296 ed. 4-2012), and inspection of incoming supplies of oil
– requirement for factory tests to be carried out using oils free from DBDS, and checking, both at this stage in the life cycle and later stages, that treatments on the oil and the machine do not give rise to cross contamination
