Towards the end of last year, Sea Marconi produced two important physical oil treatment plants(reconditioning) for two companies in the French market. The first is one of the most important manufacturers and maintenance providers for transformers in France, la JST, the second is a maintenance and service company, Transfo Est.
JST will use our oil Decontamination Mobile Unit (DMU 90.B6) for onsite services both on new transformers and during their operational life cycle. The plant is designed to restore the physical properties of the oil: water, gas, particles, and in more detail enables:
1. extraction and pumping of oil (circulation)
2. heating of oil at an established temperature;
3. mechanical filtration of suspended particles in oil
4. degassing and vacuum dehydration of oil;
5. condensation of extracted water
6. creation of vacuum in transformer box
In regards to the plant’s performance
Nominal power: 6,000 l/hr
– Minimum temperature of oil in extraction: 0 °C
– Maximum heating temperature: 80 °C
– Temperature of oil in vacuum chamber in operation: 60÷70 °C
– Heating capacity ?t = 30 °C a 6000 l/hr
– Maximum pressure: 6 bar
– Residual pressure in vacuum chamber <0.5 mbar in operation
– Filtration 2 micron (up to 0.5 optional)
Transfo Est has also purchased a reconditioning plant (DMU 25.B1) for the restoration of physical oil properties: water, gas, particles. The system’s functions are the same as those in the plant described above, however the performance is different:
Nominal power: 1,000 l/hr
– Minimum temperature of oil in extraction: 0 °C
– Maximum heating temperature: 80 °C
– Temperature of oil in vacuum chamber in operation: 60÷70 °C
– Heating capacity ?t = 56 °C a 1000 l/hr
– Maximum pressure: 6 bar
– Residual pressure in vacuum chamber <1 mbar in operation
– Filtration 2 micron (up to 0.5 optional)
