17th-19th October 2011, Stockholm.
Vander Tumiatti participates as speaker at the EuroDoble Colloquium 2011 as expert on the topic of corrosive sulfur.
The event that took place in Stockholm is a forum for sharing the best operational practices in the management of electric power plants and industrial sites. The invitation to Sea Marconi underlined the role of very high competence recognised in Europe to the company on the topic of corrosive sulfur. Vander Tumiatti intervened during the second day, entirely dedicated to the diagnosis and maintenance of high voltage equipment, presenting a work titled “DBDS Corrosion Free Programme 2011: Diagnosis and Countermeasures”. On one side, the norms for a correct identification of oils free from corrosive products have been outlined, on the other side the countermeasures really effective with the problem of the corrosivity of oils (depolarisation from corrosive sulfur – Chedcos) have been provided.
Besides Vander Tumiatti, during the same day, speakers like Paul Griffin of Doble Engineering (USA) with a work titled “The Role of DBDS in Creating Corrosive Sulphur”; N. Herlenius of Ergon Europe MEA (Belgium) with a work titled “Corrosive Sulphur in Transformer Oil – A Refiner’s Perspective”, and Lars Arvidsson of VPDiagnose (Sweden), which presented “The Corrosive Sulfur Problem” participated as well.
As it was already understood during the past editions of the My Transfo, one of the major events organised by Sea Marconi, we are sure that the debate on the identification of the corrosivity of the oils and the relevant countermeasures is still open. Under this scenario, Sea Marconi confirms its hold sway on the topic being, we remind, the first to identify the main cause for corrosive sulfur and the first one offering on the market a real and effective countermeasure for the depolarisation of corrosive sulfur – Chedcos.
